The exhibition “Community in Solitude” recently opened in Chisinau and will be active until September 9.

WASP Studios in partnership with Oberliht Association invites the public in Chisinau to the opening of the exhibition “Community in Solitude”.

The presentation of the exhibition “Community in Solitude” and its related activities in Chisinau are part of the project “Itinerant Routes and Dialogues. Art in Community”.

The main theme of the exhibition “Community in Solitude” is solitude and new ways of being together. The artists participating in the exhibition capture through their creations their involvement in different social micro-cosmoses, make a subjective analysis of the role of artistic/non-artistic communities in the policy of recovery from the “Covid 19” crisis. Despite the fact that there is little talk nowadays about the repercussions of the pandemic context, they continue to exist and affect our daily lives.

The exhibition brings together works from various mediums of artistic expression, from photography, video art, sculpture, installation, made by Matei Bejenaru (Iasi), Valeria Barbas (Chisinau), Anna Bantiuc (Chisinau), Andrei Mateescu (Bucharest), Gabriela Mateescu (Bucharest), Liliana Mercioiu Popa (Timișoara), Ghenadie Popescu (Chisinau).

The exhibition can be visited free of charge from 26 August to 9 September at the Zemstvei House (103 Al. Șciusev Street, Chisinau), from Thursday to Saturday, from 16:00 to 20:00.
