Promotion of the SUSTAIN-2 project during Europe Day events
On May 9, 2026, on the occasion of Europe Day celebrations, representatives of the Chisinau City Hall participated in the events organized in the Great National Assembly Square, where they promoted the project SUSTAIN-2 – A Sustainability Model for Tourism (F&B).
During the event, the project team distributed informational materials in both Romanian and English, providing visitors with detailed information about the project’s objectives, activities, and expected results. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the concept of sustainable tourism and the importance of implementing responsible practices in the tourism sector, particularly within the Food & Beverage industry.
The SUSTAIN-2 – A Sustainability Model for Tourism (F&B) project is implemented under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme and aims to develop a sustainable model for the tourism sector, especially for the Food & Beverage (F&B) field. The project promotes food waste reduction, efficient resource management, and the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles through innovative tools and artificial intelligence-based solutions.
Participation in the events dedicated to Europe Day represented an important opportunity to promote the European initiatives implemented by the Chisinau City Hall and to inform the public about the benefits of international cooperation for the sustainable development of the city.
