The Importance of Implementing the People Powered Tourism Project for Local Sustainable Tourism Development
At the ANTRIM Incoming Tourism Forum 2026 (7th Edition), held on 19 June 2026, we had the opportunity to discuss the importance of implementing the People Powered Tourism project and its contribution to the sustainable development of local tourism destinations.
People Powered Tourism represents a modern approach to destination management, placing local communities at the center of tourism development. The project promotes active participation of residents, local authorities, tourism businesses, cultural institutions, and civil society in shaping tourism policies and creating authentic visitor experiences.
