Chișinău Hosts the 3rd Steering Committee Meeting of the SUSDEST-NET Project

🌍 From 12 to 14 October 2026, the municipality of Chișinău is hosting the 3rd Steering Committee Meeting of the SUSDEST-NET project — Sustainable Destinations Black Sea Network, funded by the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.

🤝 The event brings together international partners from Greece, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Türkiye to exchange experience, review project progress and discuss joint solutions for the sustainable development of tourism destinations across the Black Sea region.

🏙️ One of Chișinău’s key priorities is the development of the Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy for 2027–2032, with the active involvement of local decision-makers and the promotion of initiatives aimed at making the city more attractive, resilient and sustainable.

💡 The SUSDEST-NET project promotes sustainable tourism, the blue economy, the use of artificial intelligence and stronger cross-border cooperation among public authorities, development organisations and academic institutions.

🇪🇺 The project runs from November 2025 to May 2028 and has a total budget of over EUR 1.4 million, including more than EUR 1.27 million in European Union funding.

🌱 Through its participation in this international network, Chișinău reinforces its commitment to sustainable tourism development and to positioning itself as a competitive tourist destination in the region.
