After the Second World War, military cavalry units were closed throughout the Soviet Union, and in their place were founded sports institutions, especially for equestrianism. In 1956, such an institution – the Republican School of Equestrianism and Modern Pentathlon – was opened in Chisinau, becoming one of the most prestigious sports schools. And at the moment the School trains real champions.

Next to Chisinau, just 15 minutes away by car, there is also the “Sparta” Equestrian Sports Club – the first private equestrian complex of European level in Moldova. It was established in 2004 and today is one of the largest clubs in our country.

The youngest animal lovers have the opportunity to ride a pony, have fun with a donkey or dwarf lambs from the mini zoo of the club.
